Danish people also has a great tradition for Christmas lunches - though they are often held in the evening!
After the Christmas dinner it is time to light the tree, walk around it and sing the Christmas carols, some of which are known all over the world like “Holy Night, Silent Night,” “Jingle Bells,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and some are strictly Danish.
Christmas Eve is usually just an event for the children, their parents and grandparents.
Denmark was the first country to start decorating Christmas mail with special Christmas stamps.

Those faithful who are physically able to do so, eat no solid food on this day until the first star is seen in the evening sky .
Despite the fact that some families are poor, they still find a way to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ through eating, family time and merry-making.
Unless attendance is impossible or otherwise too impractical, or if the person has made other plans already, turning down such an invitation, or not showing up can be considered extremely rude.
It is like an evergreen swag, and looks beautiful in the dining room during Wigilia.

I am looking for a easy tradition with my inlaws.
Cut snowflakes from wrapping paper, festive holiday advertisements, or holiday cards, and string them together into a festive garland.
Then we usually get all dressed up in our Christmas best and go to church as a family for the 11 p.m.
We all get a kick out of re-reading Santa’s notes every year.
